Multiple and Multipliers
A multiplier is a factor that amplifies or increases the base value of something else. For example, in the multiplication statement 3 × 4 = 12 , the multiplier 3 amplifies the value of 4 to 1.
(Another name for "multiplier" is "factor". A multiplier is a number that is used to multiply another number.)
A multiple in math are the numbers you get when you multiply a certain number by an integer. For example, multiples of 5 are: 10, 15, 20, 25, 30…etc.
